Texas Crunch set to start APFL play in 2013
The North Texas Crunch is proud to announce that they have joined the American Professional Football League (APFL) beginning with the 2013 season. The North Texas Crunch will be entering their fifth season as an indoor professional football team in 2013.
The American Professional Football League (APFL) is the oldest continuously operating indoor professional football league in the country. Founded in the fall of 2002 the league is headquartered in Topeka, Kansas. With teams in the Midwest the APFL has consistently grown to be the most stable of all the Indoor Leagues Their stated mission is to provide quality sports entertainment in cities looking for fast-paced, action-packed indoor football.
“We’re excited to be expanding into a hotbed of football like Texas”, said APFL President Ralph Adams. “The Crunch will bring their success on and off the field to the APFL. We feel they will be a great addition to our league.”
The Crunch are three time Alliance Bowl Champions in the IIFA winning consecutively from 2008 through 2010. The North Texas Crunch will play a 12 game APFL schedule beginning in the spring of 2013.
